This is Balford's request-for-quote desk for custom metal parts — deep drawn and stamped housings, sleeves, end caps and precision components, made in our own plant in Zhuji, Zhejiang, China. Every enquiry is reviewed by our engineers for material, forming route, tooling and inspection before a price is given, and we tell you at that stage if the part sits outside what our presses can do.

How Balford RFQ works
How does Balford RFQ work?
Buyers register and post a structured RFQ with drawings, material, quantity, target price and deadline. Balford RFQ administrators review each request, then route it only to approved suppliers that match the required capabilities. Suppliers quote on the RFQs assigned to their account.
Which metal parts can I request quotes for?
The platform covers precision metal components produced by deep drawing, metal stamping, CNC machining, sheet metal processing, tube bending, laser cutting, wire EDM and assembly — including housings, sleeves, brackets, washers, frames and other fabricated parts.
Is my RFQ kept confidential?
Yes. RFQs are visible to the Balford RFQ administrator and only to the approved suppliers the RFQ is assigned to. Suppliers never see a public bidding pool or other buyers' requests. If your process requires a signed agreement before drawings are released, a bilingual mutual NDA is available to download, sign and return.
How do I become an approved buyer or supplier?
Create an account as a buyer or supplier. Supplier accounts are reviewed and approved by the administrator, and suppliers can complete a public company page with capabilities, certifications and facility details.
What is the difference between Balford RFQ and balford.net?
Balford RFQ is Balford's managed request-for-quote workspace for buyers and approved suppliers. Balford's public website at balford.net presents the manufacturer's metal stamping, deep drawing and fabrication services.

Your drawing goes to the people who will make the part — design, tooling, stamping, machining, brazing, surface finishing and inspection all run under one roof in Zhuji, Zhejiang.
What we make
Deep drawn and stamped metal housings: sensor housings (O2/lambda, NOx, coolant temperature, ABS/wheel speed, EGT, pressure), solenoid valve housings and sleeves, motor shells and end caps, stamped washers, brackets, clips and terminals. Presses from 25 t to 350 t including transfer press; maximum deep draw diameter 250 mm; 12,000 m² with 500+ machines.

Micro-stamping (no blanks under 3 mm, no finished outside diameter under 0.3 mm). Oversized work (blank above 600 mm, or a drawn height above 200 mm). High-speed stamping — we run medium to low, 120 SPM maximum. Cosmetic-grade finishes: we build functional components, judged on dimensional accuracy, sealing and mechanical properties.

Sign the NDA before you send drawings
Many buyers can only release drawings after a signed non-disclosure agreement. Balford's mutual NDA is bilingual (English and Chinese), reciprocal, and written to be signed as-is for a routine RFQ.

Bilingual (English and Chinese) and reciprocal, in the same clause order procurement teams already work with: secrecy, disclosure, property rights, return, duration, penalty, law, plus an Annex 1 document list. Fill in the Party B block, sign and seal both copies, keep one and return the other to shawn@balford.net. It also states which production steps are outsourced, so the process route holds no surprises once tooling starts.
